The Iron Daughter Review

The Iron Daughter (The Iron Fey, #2)"Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.
Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart "

                                                              5 Smokin' Kisses

The Second in the Iron Fey Series, did this one stand a chance against our Beleoved Iron King ? oh hell yeah! Julie Kagawa defenitly did not disappoint, this novel was everything i had hoped for and more! I believe i even liked this more than the Iron King! Here our journey with Meghan, Ash, Puck & Grimalkin - with a new added touch.. Ironhorse. Oh yes, the so thought enemy, is now a protagonist- and a beloved one may i add as well! also we meet Leanansidhe, the queen of the exiles. & i must say, she's probebly the nicest & most helpful queen in the novel (no offence,  Titiana & Mab... *snickers*) .
Here, Meghan truly gets a feel of what it's like to be a faery in the Winter Court. Even her beloved prince has turned to ice, leaving her alone in the merciless cold.
But as the exchange of the scepter of seasons draws nearer, meghan is bound to find out why Ash has been treating her like dirt. Although things dont go down easily with Ash & Rowan, Ash & Meghan do manage to escape the court while everything is still chaotic due to Sage's death & the Sceptor of seasons gone missing.
I was SO happy when Ash finally told Meghan why he was being a royal-Icy-pain-in-my-behind kinda prince. But of course this happy re-union ends way too soon, as Ash persues the Sceptor of Seasons from the iron fey & tells Meghan to go back home. Little does he know, that The trio- plus iron horse, is on a mission of their own.
The novel Suprised me, Delighted me  & thrilled me all at once.
Kagawa continued her phenomenal writting, exceptional Imagery (which is why i love her writting so much), and i felt like i was in faery the whole time. The characters and plot didn't disappoint & ironhorse & Leanansidhe were lovely additions to the usual crew. I was defenitly at the edge of my seat the whole time... the novel was gone in a good 5 hours straight!
I'm a sucker for happy endings, but this novel has it's bi-polar moments. I teared up when ironhorse sarificed everything for Meghan, and I was pissed when Oberon & Mab were stupid enough to Exile Ash & Meghan even though they saved NeverNever from Virus & her Iron crew. But in the end, i was happy that the two were together- even though a little piece of my heart tore for puck.
The Iron Daughter is complete with action & tactics, Love & Betrayel, Jelousy & Sacrifice.
As soon as i finished, i had to hurry & grab  Iron Queen , Thats where the true adventure continues

Happy readings my lovelies !
