Woohoo! The first day of Nights of Fright!
Today will be the Blood & Bloodier. As far as reading a great action packed book goes, the bloodier the better!
Don't Forget the Giveaway of the Month!
What's everyone else calling unbelievably bloody & spine-chilling?
Don't these covers just give you the chills?
These books are SUCH great reads! I enjoyed the chills and the gasps while reading them, and in the case of Vampire Academy which wasn't bloody, the bloodsuckers involved were excellent!
I'll be reading Rot & Ruin and The forest of Hands and Teeth in the very near future, so watch out for a review on those! Who knows, they may pop under a couple other categories this month... ;)
You may want to leave the lights on after reading some of these novels! They have been known to keep readers up into the wee hours of the night, thinking about what may be living under their beds. EEEP!
What are YOUR favorite bloody tales? Let me know & join in on the Nights of Fright Halloween Fun! Make your own Nights of Fright: Blood & Bloodier post, or review your favorite Bloody Book and link to your post InLinkz below so everyone can check it out!
Dude, your site looks so awesome!! Love it! And the banners you made are sick. I didn't like The Replacement, but I have to agree the cover is pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! It's so much editing, but worth it! I've heard mixed reviews, but it's a popular one!
DeleteI love Halloween and I can watch scary movies for the most part, but I don't really like reading scary books! I'm a big baby! I won't even watch scary movies on what I tell my husband is a "school night" (meaning work the next day lol). Weekends only! YOu guys are brave! haha
ReplyDeletehahahah I can't wait to see how scared you get on Saturday.. be sure to bring your blankey ;) I LOVE scary books! For some reason, I don't get frightened by books and movies, so it's more for entertainment! hahaha That's funny! Your hub can't handle the monsters under the bed on weekdays?! :p
DeleteHahaha no, it's just that I might not be able to fall asleep right away which means I'd be tired for work the next day!
DeleteI can tell you now that I will be watching the movie with my hands in front of my face! ;D
I honestly haven't read very many scary books but Abduct and While the Savage Sleeps were pretty spooky. I have Anna Dressed in Blood waiting to be read!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look to the blog, awesome banner work!
These books are all on my tbr list, too, ha ha! I bought Anna Dressed in Blood a while ago but have some review books to finish up before I can get to it. I've heard amazing things about it.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does the girl on the cover of Vampire Academy totally look like Angelina Jolie? I've always thought that.
I have read The Forest of Hands & Teeth and loved it. It's really good. :) My favorite scary book right now is Drawing Blood by Poppy Z. Brite. I read it in October last year and am STILL haunted by it, lol.
When I was younger I'd say a Stephen King book, but I haven't read anything in recent years that was spine chilling.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
