As their bond grows the powers who seek to destroy them become more and more determined – the attacks upon them more brutal and dangerous.

If i stay REVIEW

If I StayA critically acclaimed novel that will change the way you look at life, love, and family.

In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterwards, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces- to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make. Heartwrenchingly beautiful, Mia's story will stay with you for a long, long time.

                                               4 Smokin' Kisses

I'm a cold hearted bitch. I am.
I SPECIFICALLY bought this book to cry. I actually went on Goodreads to the "made you cry" listopia and looked through the books. i decided that If i stay is sadder than 13 reasons why so i ended up buying it. the only books that have EVER made me Ball my eyes out were My sisters keeper at the end, and Mockinjay when Primrose dies. Other than that, I've gotten tears in my eyes- maybe shed a tear or two during these things hidden & Beautiful Chaos , BUT OTHER THAN THAT- no matter how sad, i never cry. It's depressing really, have i become that cold hearted? So i bought this on a mission to cry,.... Not a single tear. Something must be wrong with me.

Other than that... this book was great. It's truly heartbreaking & really makes you think; what if you were in Mia's shoes? what would you do? , thats the one question i have noticed all reviewers seem to share. Mia's story will drag you into reality; in a blink of an eye, you could lose everything. & if you did, and you had the choice.. would you still choose to live?
The characters were extremely well written, & the stories of Mia's life that she tells through out are perfect. She's a normal girl , with a normal family, a loving boyfriend & a best friend.
It was wonderful to watch the way everything played out. The way at first Mia thought it seemed unrealistic for her to be watching herself die, then when it all settles in; her parents, her brother-dead, she begins to question if life is still worth living. It was heartbreaking to watch the affect this all had on her family & friends, & it makes me realize that once we go, we dont see what happens to those we leave behind. Her boyfriend who cant stand being without her, & her bestfriend telling her she still has family & how she wont want those " I 'll miss you" stickies on her locker if she dies- her grandpa telling her how he'd understand if she chooses not to live, but he wants her to more than anything. its all very beautiful .
and again, i do not know why i didnt cry -_-
This heart breaking story is recommended and the sequels released as well, called Where she went , which is told from Adams perspective. CANT WAIT. getting that ASAP.
maybe that will make me cry? who knows *Crosses fingers* ;)

Take care loves!

it is set to be released on febrauary 13, 2013 so hold tight ! the wait could be a while :(

however, there is a synopsis soooo.....

What if you knew exactly when you would die? In the not-too-distant future, genetic engineering has turned every newborn into a ticking time bomb — males only live to age 25 and females only live to age 20.
In this bleak landscape, young girls are kidnapped and forced into polygamous marriages to keep the population from dying out. When 16-year-old Rhine Ellery is taken by "the Gatherers" to become a bride, she enters a world of wealth and privilege. Rhine has only one purpose after she has been married to her new husband, Linden: to escape and find her twin brother.
But Rhine has more to contend with than losing her freedom. Linden's eccentric father is bent on finding an antidote to the genetic virus that is getting closer to taking his son, even if it means collecting corpses in order to test his experiments. With the help of Gabriel, a servant to whom she is dangerously attracted, Rhine is desperate to learn the truth and protect those closest to her. But, as her sister wife Cecily keeps insisting, her role may be much bigger than that.
In the first two books of the Chemical Garden trilogy, Wither and Fever, Rhine struggles to escape the mansion and then to navigate the brutal world outside. Now in Sever, the third and final book, Rhine uncovers some shattering truths about the past that her parents never had the chance to tell her and the alarming implications regarding her own genes. She may be the one who can save the human race.

Beautiful Chaos REVIEW

Beautiful Chaos (Caster Chronicles, #3)Caster Chronicles #3
Ethan Wate thought he was getting used to the strange, impossible events happening in Gatlin, his small Southern town. But now that Ethan and Lena have returned home, strange and impossible have taken on new meanings. Swarms of locusts, record-breaking heat, and devastating storms ravage Gatlin as Ethan and Lena struggle to understand the impact of Lena's Claiming. Even Lena's family of powerful Supernaturals is affected - and their abilities begin to dangerously misfire. As time passes, one question becomes clear: What - or who - will need to be sacrificed to save Gatlin?

For Ethan, the chaos is a frightening but welcome distraction. He's being haunted in his dreams again, but this time it isn't by Lena - and whatever is haunting him is following him out of his dreams and into his everyday life. Even worse, Ethan is gradually losing pieces of himself - forgetting names, phone numbers, even memories. He doesn't know why, and most days he's too afraid to ask.

Sometimes there isn't just one answer or one choice. Sometimes there's no going back. And this time there won't be a happy ending.

5 VERY WET, FULL OF TEARS KISSES :(

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH :(
i should never have continued this novel past 12 am. there's a certain point in the novel where you just CANNOT put it down... I hit that poiint at 12. I was up till 3 finishing, then stayed up for another hour staring at my closet from my bed thinking about it. Why do Stohl & Garcia hate me? whywhywhywhywhywhwyhwhyyyy? I mean it isnt enough that i already think about this series a ton, but then they had to go & end it like that? -_-
WARNING: ONLY READ THIS WHEN YOU HAVE A BOX OF TISSUES WITHIN 2 FEET OF YOU.
and i'm not joking with that.
"When I first met you, that's what I remember. I looked up at the sky and thought, I'm going to love this person because even the sky looks different.”

"I love you, I whispered in her ear.
She held my face in her hands and leaned back so she could look at me.
I don't think I could ever love anything the way I love you.”

Just breaks my heart :( i swear my stomach does cartwheels when i read anything from BC. congrats to the authors for having such an effect on me.
Beautiful Chaos is just heart wretching. Here, Lena has been claimed Half light & half dark. she has split the moon with this choice, which has brought the end of the days. everyone will be dead soon if it cant be fixed. Someone is destined to sacrifice themselves for the new order......... and can you guess who that is? :( my baby.
It's crazy the way Garcia & Stohl have been able to leave us clues for this point in the novel ever since beautiful creatures. once it all clicks in your mind, you get why everything happened the way it did. the ending was enivedable, & it just tore my heart out. Amma, Lena, Link- mostly between ethan and lena... every word in this novel is perfection. every single phrase . so many cute quotes/scenes/lines & life lessons, this will defenitly stay with you for a LONG time.
I am DYING for Beautiful Redemption, i just cant fricken wait. screw school, im gonna be the first person in the bookstore on October 23 .....

“The mortal world is in a state of Beautiful Chaos and destruction, which will ultimately lead to an exquisite end.”  .....

Happy readingggg my loveliessss !

Beautiful Darkness REVIEW

Beautiful Darkness (Caster Chronicles, #2)Caster Chronicles #2
Ethan Wate used to think of Gatlin, the small Southern town he had always called home, as a place where nothing ever changed. Then he met mysterious newcomer Lena Duchannes, who revealed a secret world that had been hidden in plain sight all along. A Gatlin that harbored ancient secrets beneath its moss-covered oaks and cracked sidewalks. A Gatlin where a curse has marked Lena's family of powerful Supernaturals for generations. A Gatlin where impossible, magical, life-altering events happen.
Sometimes life-ending.
Together they can face anything Gatlin throws at them, but after suffering a tragic loss, Lena starts to pull away, keeping secrets that test their relationship. And now that Ethan's eyes have been opened to the darker side of Gatlin, there's no going back. Haunted by strange visions only he can see, Ethan is pulled deeper into his town's tangled history and finds himself caught up in the dangerous network of underground passageways endlessly crisscrossing the South, where nothing is as it seems.

                                           5 Smokin' Kisses

I finished this a little while back, before the blog, but since it is a novel in my favorite series i decided to come back and review it :)
Beautiful Darkness is.... beautiful. No words can even begin to describe.
So i kind of went overboard with my Beautiful Creatures review. it is extremely long, yes, so i will TRY to keep this down to the basics.
I FRICKEEEEENNNN LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ITTTTTTTTTTTTT !
if you haven't read the series, i suggest you start NOW.

So here Lena becomes a total bisnatch. in the beggining at least. i was pretty pissed, she's my favorite character! After Lena killed Macon in Beautiful Creatures to save Ethan, she becomes ..... very absorbed i guess you can say, in her own grieving, and starts to steer clear of ethan. She see's him with Liv, a girl that now works with him, and becomes even more absorbed & a tad bit jealous, and leaves with john breed. oh hoooo, isnt ethan pissed now? HELL YEAH. this book is all over the place, & I LOVE IT. except i was really frustrated the whole time. but still... loved it.
Lots of things happen while Ethan & Liv go looking for Lena. they end up being joined by Ridley soome way through, who gets stripped of her powers as a Siren by Sarafine. Its hard to continue reviewing without any spoilers but... lets just say certain people find out theyre not dead, and they go on a mission to save Lena & destroy Abraham. OH & did i mention that Lena is pretty much a dark caster now? YEEEP. yellow eyes and all. although she hasn't been claimed yet... so nothings permanent Thank god . if it was i'd probebly cry... fricken love her.

so the characters are still & always will be, amazing. The new characters we get introduced to are extremely well built & the atmosphere is just perfect. the plot couldnt be better & its perfectly fitting for their situation. I love how the authors managed to juggle between the mortal world , the caster world & the world in between. they did a phenomenal job keep everything in check, and the story didnt get messy with detals. they did it again.
At the end , Lena finally gets claimed !!!!! but i wont tell you what happens bitches ;)
next in line is beautiful chaos..... GO GET IT.

Happy reading !

Shatter me REVIEW

Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war-- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

In this electrifying debut, Tahereh Mafi presents a world as riveting as The Hunger Games and a superhero story as thrilling as The X-Men. Full of pulse-pounding romance, intoxicating villainy, and high-stakes choices, Shatter Me is a fresh and original dystopian novel—with a paranormal twist—that will leave readers anxiously awaiting its sequel

                                                  2 Dull Kisses

This last little while has been pleasent. every book i have bought for the past 2-3 months has recieved nothing below 4 stars. Its a small miracle, I know, to be able to enjoy all my novels. That streak ended today Im afraid. Shatter me is what happens when authors try too hard to become bestsellers. upon reading Shatter me, i discovered that there is such a thing as being too poetic . Mafi tries too hard to be deep and insightful, and fails on a large scale. Her sense of poetry is kind of scary, actually- Not monsters under your bed scary, but a this-is-what-authors-have-come-too scary. I mean i should know. I LOVE poetry . im all about poetic sentances & proper uses of metophers, imagery, similies, repititation etc. However, There is a Line that shouldn't be crossed .  When it takes you one page of metaphors and imagery to describe rain WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

“I always wonder about raindrops.
I wonder about how they're always falling down, tripping over their own feet, breaking their legs and forgetting their parachutes as they tumble right out of the sky toward an uncertain end. It's like someone is emptying their pockets over the earth and doesn't seem to care where the contents fall, doesn't seem to care that the raindrops burst when they hit the ground, that they shatter when they fall to the floor, that people curse the days the drops dare to tap on their doors.
I am a raindrop.
My parents emptied their pockets of me and left me to evaporate on a concrete slab.”

Lets not forget these.....

“I am nothing but novocaine. I am numb, a world of nothing, all feeling and emotion gone forever."

"I'm up.
Spinning.
Scanning.
Scared.
They found us is the only thing I can think of. My stomach is a flimsy crepe, my heart a raging woodpecker, my blood a river of anxiety."

"My heart fails for a moment.
There are 400 cotton balls caught in my windpipe."

"His body presses closer and I realize I'm paying attention to nothing but the dandelions blowing wishes in my lungs."
“My life is four walls of missed opportunities poured in concrete molds.”
“I'm wearing dead cotton on my limbs and a blush of roses on my face.”

“You're my bird" i tell him. "You're my bird && you're going to help me fly away.”

and so on. There are tons more, but I plan on covering more useless items in the novel so I cute it short. Those sentances are NOT . O. K. They are no poetic & they dont help me imagine juliettes world.
& it's not onlt certain points in the novel that are like this.. Mafi writes like this throughout the whole book! just.. oh god. The whole novel is basically a really bad poem with 23489382493284 too many Ugly Useless Metaphors. The strikeout didnt bother me as much as it bothered other readers, my main issue was with the writting style.

Now the second issue... execution of plot.
I have never seen anything so stupid. It pains me, because Shatter me could have been a good novel. The idea of Juliette having a lethal touch is interesting. however, the novel lacked... alot.
First off, Juliette is shy because she thinks she's a monster that should die etc. she's been aching to touch someone for years. She gets a new cell mate in the Assylem who steals her bed and leaves her on the floor to assert is power on his phsyco cell mate. Apperently he thought he was put there so he would be torchered by his supposed to be crazy cell mate, so he decides to assert his power. until he realizes shes not crazy & gives her back her bed & becomes nice. Then later on in the novel.... 200 pages later, he tells her that he has always known who she is. that she was the girl from his childhood that he was in love with and he has been searching for her for years & he still loves her. THEN WHY WOULD YOU MAKE HER SLEEP ON THE FLOOR ? I'm mind blown. his acting in front of warner is given, obviously he wouldnt want him to know that he's in love with Juliette , the girl Warner has been researching for years. but in the cell, it's just them. I FAIL to understand his need to create that lie & make her sleep on the floor. THEN, throughout there time together in the cell Juliette keeps saying that she knows his eyes, she thinks she knows who he is etc etc etc. she isnt to sure at first though. then once they escape, they both admit their undying love for eachother... HUH? Im pretty sure if i was in love with someone, i'd know if it was them chilling in a cell with me. no matter if its 3 years later.
“He whispers, "You have no idea how much I've thought about you. How many times I've dreamt"-he takes a tight breath- "how many times I've dreamt about being this close to you." He moves to run a hand through his hair before he changes his mind. Looks down. Looks up. "God, Juliette, I'd follow you anywhere. You're the only good thing left in this world.”

Okay so last time i checked, if i havent talked to someone, EVER, but they stood up for me in 3-4th grade, YET WE NEVER TALKED, and then i was absent for a couple years, & then got reuinited , i wouldnt be to ecstatic to follow them off a cliff. Im sorry, but just dont see how they are so quick to fall in love with eachother . like if they had some kind of relationship earlier on... not in elementry (they didn't even talk).. if they were actually together, standing against the world, in love WHATEVER, and then got seperated- then sure, i can see how they can say i love you to eachother after 5 days, and how they would die and follow eachother off a cliff, and how they have been searching for eachother, blah blah blah. but other than that, no. Mafi tried waywaywyawyywayyyy to hard to get hardcore romance in.
Also, if your worried about escaping through a window before an army captures you, i dont think it's the proper time to argue with the guy you just tied up about who loves you more. stupidest thing ever. adam is so worried about telling her he loves her, while warner begs her not to leave him  and shes just standing there INSTEAD OF ESCAPING. THEN, kenji and adam have a war about who likes juliette. it gets taken way to far even though its supposed to be a joke. then adams dying and all him & kenji can talk about is if juliette is adam's official girlfriend... then she decides to tell him she's gonna memorize his body with her lips. well sorry hunny, if he's dead thats not gonna work out. ugh. so. stupid. all the emotions are blown up 1000000000x , everyone over exaggerates. Adam will be freaking out saying oh god- juliette in complete hysteria every 2 seconds for no reason, or for something small & pointless.
oh and lets not forget that when she gets at omega point, when shes naked under covers and is asking about where james & adam are and how kenji lied to her to get her there etc- she decides to argue with winston about nicknames. really? are you effing kidding me? you have about 5000 things to be worried about, and thats what occupies your mind? "you got mad when i called you blondie and not winston. why doesnt he have the right to be mad that youre calling him moto instead of kenji?"
shes acting like shes his counseller instead of a girl who just got dragged into this place, surrounded by people she doesnt know, that are telling her she was brought here and lied to un purpose , while the 2 people that came with her are no where to be seen and she might have been tricked... yet thats all that is on her mind.
seriously there is probebly atleast 20 more things that have pissed me off about this novel, but i will continue no further or else on one will read this. i think ihave made my opinion quite clear.
SO, in conclusion... Mafi needs to take up some serious creative writting classes. Oh- they also  MUST be accompanied by hardcore metaphor & imagery research.

*sigh*, i hope the bookstore doesn't mind giving me a refund.
Happy reading my lovelies !

Black Heart Review

Black Heart (Curse Workers, #3)Curse Workers #3

Cassel Sharpe knows he’s been used as an assassin, but he’s trying to put all that behind him. He’s trying to be good, even though he grew up in a family of con artists and cheating comes as easily as breathing to him. He’s trying to do the right thing, even though the girl he loves is inextricably connected with crime. And he’s trying to convince himself that working for the Feds is smart, even though he’s been raised to believe the government is the enemy.

But with a mother on the lam, the girl he loves about to take her place in the Mob, and new secrets coming to light, the line between what’s right and what’s wrong becomes increasingly blurred. When the Feds ask Cassel to do the one thing he said he would never do again, he needs to sort out what’s a con and what’s truth. In a dangerous game and with his life on the line, Cassel may have to make his biggest gamble yet—this time on love.

                                                       5 Smokin' Kisses

oh my god. Out of all the Curse Workers, Black Heart Is defenitly my favorite. I just fell in love with this one, theyre all amazing-sure- but this one... just wow.

"Girls like her, my grandfather once warned me, girls like her turn into woman with eyes like bullet holes and mouths like knives. They will drink you down like a shot of whisky. Falling in love with them is like falling down a flight of stairs. What no one told me, with all those warnings, is that even after you've fallen, even after you know how painful it is, you'd get in line to do it again."

Maybe i like it so much because Cassel just reminds me of Ethan from Beautiful Creatures, or maybe Holly Black is a genious. Its probably Both.

So even after saying wow already, thats all that seems to come to mind. This novel is just phenomenal. Everything you could ask for is in here: love & betrayal, Mystery & killing, Drama & crimes, Mafias & Feds. God, so good.

So here, Lila is gone. She leaves to be a part of the crime family that she was born into, and she leaves Cassel. She's having a hard time coming to terms with forgiving him. Cassel thinks its because his mom's curse wore off and she doesnt love him anymore. BUT, she's mad because she loves him and she thinks he doesnt- he was just lying to make her feel better... then he tried to work her.
CASSEL. IS . STUPID.
Also, Cassel's mama has herself in a little knot again, after getting the governer to contradict on air everything he stands against towards workers, Zacherov has his hands on her now. She's being heald captive by Lila's daddy. what a cute story.
Barron & Cassel decide to work for the Feds, and all goes well until they ask Cassel to use his Powers as a transformation worker to get rid of the governer. They cover it in whip cream and cherries- to hide that its actually a con. To hide the fact that he would be getting the governer out of the way while he gets arrested for helping them, by them. Its all dirty, thank god he figures it out in the nick of time!
Also, sam's kind of a badass now. Even after Daneca broke up with him and dates Barron, he tries to be the hero for another character we are introduced to, Mina. instead he gets shot in the leg... not quite their yet bud :s

This novel had amazing scenes pilling on top of each other, amazing quote after amazing quote. Just perfection. I wanna frame my copy just for the heck of it . [ i wont..]

So Cassel goes through the novel trying to solve things between him and Lila, figuring out what the feds want from him, Keeping Barron on track and away from Daneca, helping sam, helping mina, helping his mom and zacherov... he had his plate full.

Despite Lila being mad at him while she went to wallingford, but after she leaves Cassel risks going to Zacherov's house to see her. even though if he was discovered to be working for the feds Lilas father would shoot him in a heart beat... he still goes. There, Lila seems to break. She loves him, and he wants her- no more playing hard to get or pretend mad.

"You shouldn't have come. I put everything in the letter so we wouldn't have to- she stops speaking as if the rest of her sentence deserted her. She takes another half step towards me, were close enough that if she whispered I'd hear it. I see the soft line of her mouth, and the clear brightness of her eye's, and i remember dreaming about those features when it still seemed like she could be mine.
She was the epic crush of my childhood. She was the tragedy that made me look inside myself and see my corrupt heart, she was my sin & salvation.
I sway towards Lila, waiting for her to pull back, but she doesn't. My hands come up, crushing her to me as my mouth catches hers. Her body folds against mine, lips warm and soft, parting in a single sigh..."

I just love that scene. damn. Theyre just so hot together, I CANT BELIEVE ITS OVER :(
Black heart has some great Scenes and quotes, and life lessons.

"Birth to grave, we all know it'll be us one day. Our tragedy is that we forget it might be someone else first"

Well, that is the end of the curse workers :( this series is higly recommended.. it has defenitly made it's way into my favorites. especially with the amazing ending!

"I think we should do what we want. You're what I want. You're what I've always wanted"
"Well good" her smile is all teeth. "because theirs no turning back now". Her gloved hands turn the wheel sharply, and i feel the giddy rush that only comes at the end of things, that comes, when despite everything, i realize we actually got away with it"

Happy reading & remember "Your coffee should be black as hell, strong as death & sweet as love" ;)

Red Glove REVIEW

Red Glove (Curse Workers #2)Curse Workers #2

Curses and cons. Magic and the mob. In Cassel Sharpe's world, they go together. Cassel always thought he was an ordinary guy, until he realized his memories were being manipulated by his brothers. Now he knows the truth—he’s the most powerful curse worker around. A touch of his hand can transform anything—or anyone—into something else.

That was how Lila, the girl he loved, became a white cat. Cassel was tricked into thinking he killed her, when actually he tried to save her. Now that she’s human again, he should be overjoyed. Trouble is, Lila’s been cursed to love him, a little gift from his emotion worker mom. And if Lila’s love is as phony as Cassel’s made-up memories, then he can’t believe anything she says or does.

When Cassel’s oldest brother is murdered, the Feds recruit Cassel to help make sense of the only clue—crime-scene images of a woman in red gloves. But the mob is after Cassel too—they know how valuable he could be to them. Cassel is going to have to stay one step ahead of both sides just to survive. But where can he turn when he can’t trust anyone—least of all, himself?

Love is a curse and the con is the only answer in a game too dangerous to lose.

                                                           4 Smokin' Stars

I defenitly had emotional glitches in this one. unlike White Cat , I actually had a hard time choosing my rating. In the end, I ended up bumping the former 3 stars to 4 stars, for the sake of me not being able to get this novel out of my head. which counts for something right?
I mean after i finised Red Glove , i was PISSED . Cassel is one retard, and Lila is even RETARDED-ER because she's too stupid to realize why Cassel tried to get Daneca to curse her. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!
Ill be quiet though, for the sake of Spoiler-Free reviews.

Anyways, back to me being pissed. So, i was PISSED , at the ending... pretty much RAN to my closet, threw open the door & grabbed for Black Heart . Red glove leaves you no mercy, and i highly suggest buying Black Heart before finishing Red Glove. Just trust me.

Red glove is a thrilling novel, however doesn't exactly measure up to White Cat. the idea of the Feds is kind of annoying, i was sceptical in the beggining, but Black followed through. I hated how Cassel would ignore Lila due to his mother cursing her... their romance was probebly my favorite part of the novel, followed by the Killing/Mystery. I was SO happy when he broke a couple times and let himself have her. Then pissed for asking Daneca to work her. then happy that she didnt. then pissed at Lila for being pissed at Cassel. can you blame me for my mixed emotions? I think not.
However, i loved the way Cassel was able to solve the mystery about phils death. Black did a great job of dropping hints here and there, and finally putting it together at the end. this novel was defenitly a thrill, i enjoyed every bit of it.
Lila grew up fast in this one; she's seductive and has her hand firmly around Cassel's through. but thats okay, he likes it.
Black didn't disappoint on Cassels end either. he's even more boyish in this novel, despite the conflicting emotions, i loved watching Cassel weigh his choices about Lila. Kiss her when she wanted it, even though she's cursed? countless times he'd stop himself and ignore her.. until he broke. his struggle as realistic and showed that even a conman has a heart. Although, i picked up that Lila wasn't cursed when she yelled at him in the caf, it was her that wanted him that night in her room, not Cursed Lila.Cassel can figure our fed crimes, but cant decifer that -_- boys.

" The smell of Lila's skin, the way her eyes shine with Mischief, the low rasp of her voice. It hurts to think of her, but I cant stop. It ought to hurt.
After all, hell is supposed to be hot."

Watch out for Black Heart , in the curse workers' series!

Enjoy my lovelies!

White Cat REVIEW

White Cat (Curse Workers, #1)The first in a trilogy, this gritty, fast-paced fantasy is rife with the unexpected. Cassel comes from a shady, magical family of con artists and grifters. He doesn’t fit in at home or at school, so he’s used to feeling like an outsider. He’s also used to feeling guilty—he killed his best friend, Lila, years ago.

But when Cassel begins to have strange dreams about a white cat, and people around him are losing their memories, he starts to wonder what really happened to Lila. In his search for answers, he discovers a wicked plot for power that seems certain to succeed. But Cassel has other ideas—and a plan to con the conmen.

Wow. This novel totally blew me away. Curse Workers is like nothing i've ever read before... and it thrilled me! It started off slow for me, i had a hard time getting into Cassel's character, but I discarded that idea as soon as i hit page 50. This novel is fast paced  & gripping-  I absoloutly loved Cassel & Lila. I adored the way Cassel thinks about Lila when he see's her , or the way he talks to her. its so cute. Black did a wonderful job of creating a BELIEVABLE male protagonist that was also interesting at the same time. Cassel is intellegent, but the reader is also constantly reminded that he is just a kid, by the way he regards certain situations and his lustious thoughts towards Lila. He is defenitly a believable 17 year old male.

Uncovering the mystery of Lila's death was intriguing. White Cat Keeps your brain guessing the whole time, with the cat, Lila, Sam, the Zacherov's , Barron, Phil, Anton- I mean, no one is straightforward. His whole life is basically one huge con. Except for Lila.

This is one of those novels where your mom will yell at you for reading during dinner, but you just cant seem to put it down. The novel defenitly ends with a Bang.

The next novel in the Curse Workers is Red Glove , so watch out for that!

Happy reading!
